Bubble Spring Collection Harper's Bazaar 1963
by Melvin Sokolsky
Last week I planned on attending an exhibition featuring pieces by Melving Sokolsky. The iconic fashion photographer sparked his career with the Bubble collection in a 1963 Harper's Bazaar issue. I was exposed to some of his Bubble collection photos before, which soon became one of my favorites. Unfortunately, my best friend and got lost on the way to the studio and later opted for tacos + margaritas--note to self: do not rely on MapQuest and a hungry stomach.
The glamorous & stylish woman floating in an oversized bubble is the capturing effect in these photos. The bubble showcases an untouchable and classy woman, swaying over cities and people in a whimsical manner. Check out his site
